Bubble tea, tea houses, Asian bakeries and dessert shops in this group are usually walk-in, counter-order businesses with a menu board overhead listing sweetness and ice levels you can adjust when ordering. Standard bubble tea customization includes sugar level (0-100%), ice level, and a choice of toppings like boba pearls, pudding or jelly, usually at a small extra charge. Asian bakeries sell items individually with tongs and a tray, cafeteria-style, rather than pre-boxed, and pastries are typically less sweet than Western bakery items. Greensboro is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Greensboro is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across North Carolina's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Very rarely do I walk into a bar that reminds me of home (Palm Beach County). As soon as I stepped in Krave, in Greensboro, it was like I’d teleported to Clematis St. in downtown WPB. The atmosphere here is IMMACULATE. Jordan, the on-shift kavatender, was incredibly welcoming and familiar. The kava is unique. A Fijian kava with a very different taste and smell that isn’t overpowered. Nor is it watered-down. It hits the mark of an all-day shell. The house-brewed Keaton tea is refreshing. Just a little lemon added makes it taste like southern sweet tea (without the copious amounts of sugar from Nana). The crowd of regulars is well-rounded, as a good kava bar should be. If you’re a local, or traveling kava konnoisseur, you’d be remiss to not stop by and visit this gem. 10/10

This was the first bar me and my husband went to when we got to North Carolina from Colorado! And it was the best so amazing so welcoming and just over all really cool. We’ve been to a few kava bars and it’s hard to tell what environment you’ll walk into and it was awesome! For sure recommend the horchata kush drink!

Krave Kava Bar is an absolute gem in the heart of downtown Greensboro. Whether you’re a regular kava drinker or just curious about the vibe, this place instantly makes you feel welcomed and relaxed. The atmosphere is chill and inviting—with cozy seating, great music, and a friendly community that feels more like a living room than a bar. The bartenders are knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about what they serve, always happy to help you find the right blend or explain the benefits of kava and kratom if you're new. Whether you're winding down after a long day or looking for a unique, alcohol-free social scene, Krave is the perfect spot. Great drinks, better people, and a space that feels like a second home.

My boyfriend and I discovered Krave this week -& I've been back 3 times in a matter of days. I love how the staff is friendly and educates you on each product they sell. The kava is pure, strong, & the best I've encountered since Sedona. It's a Great alternative to alcohol, that gives a clean, clear, body buzz (when paired with the CBD chocolate). I look forward to trying the Kratom, cacao & Maca next week!
